And I think it is more than who you know........it's hard work, long nights, worry & prayers, chocolate & love from people we trust! It's just LIFE. They have done well at something they love. It's what I hope to accomplish myself!!

Ahhh.......time to work again on my own dreams!!

Re: Doing Business the Amy Butler Way

Very inspiring - and not just in small business but in life; don't live beyond your meanes and have a little patience. It may take longer but it will be worth it in the end. My husband and I are thinking that way for the mammoth task of decorating our new home. It's hard because you just want everything done ASAP, but watching that video has reminding me why we chose not to take out a loan. Beter control and a sence of staisfaction haveing done it YOUR way - a real labour of love! Thanks for the post...

Re: Doing Business the Amy Butler Way

Wow, what an inspiring story! Their method does seem to go against the conventional grain (to use a sewing metaphor)! of borrowing up to your eyeballs. I really commend them on taking it slowly and having faith in themselves and their product. They both seem like such a lovely, sensitive, genuine couple, too. Great to see 'nice guys' finishing first!

Re: Doing Business the Amy Butler Way

I've met her and she is very savy and they have the most perfect booth at the International Quilt market to peddle their new fabric lines. Of course I'm jealous. She is one of the lottery winners of life in terms of she got her home business idea turned into a success and everything is just so perfect. "Eyes rolling" Well, just another happy accomplishment for ms. Butler.

It's all in who you know...that's what they all say.
